  • Demand Generation

    Marketing Strategy

    Marketing that builds awareness of and interest in a company's products across a target market.

  • Direct Traffic

    Analytics

    Visits that analytics cannot attribute to a referring source, for example when someone types the address, uses a bookmark, or follows an untagged link from an app or document.

    Email

    A sign-up process in which a new subscriber must confirm their address, usually by clicking a link in a confirmation email, before being added to a list.

  • Drip Campaign

    Email

    A series of pre-written messages sent automatically over time, usually triggered by an action such as signing up or downloading something.

    The part of SEO concerned with how well search engines can crawl, understand and index a site, covering things like site structure, speed, mobile friendliness, canonical tags and sitemaps.

    Content

    Content that presents an organization's or person's expertise and original perspective on topics in their field, to build credibility rather than promote a product directly.

  • Title Tag

    SEO

    The HTML title of a page, shown in browser tabs and often as the clickable headline in search results.

  • Topic Cluster

    SEO

    A group of related pages built around one broad topic: a central pillar page covers the topic generally and links to more detailed pages, which link back to it.

  • Touchpoint

    Analytics

    Any interaction between a person and a brand, such as seeing an ad, opening an email, visiting a page or contacting support.

  • Tracking Pixel

    Analytics

    A small piece of code or tiny image that loads when a page or email is viewed, letting a platform record the view or action and, with consent where required, match it to an audience or ad.

  • Traffic Source

    Analytics

    Where a visit came from, such as a search engine, social platform, email campaign or another website. Analytics tools usually describe it by a source and a medium.
