How to View an Image's Hidden Metadata (EXIF)

Every photo carries more information than what's visible — camera settings, timestamps, and sometimes GPS coordinates, all embedded as EXIF or PNG metadata. This tool reads that hidden data out and shows it to you in plain, readable form.

Frequently asked questions
Both — JPEG's EXIF fields and PNG's own text metadata chunks are each parsed and shown.
If the photo has embedded GPS coordinates, they're decoded and shown — a useful reminder of exactly what you'd be sharing if you posted the original file publicly.
Use the EXIF Remover tool to strip it out before sharing, once you know what's actually embedded.
Because parsing happens locally, checking what a photo reveals about itself never means uploading it to a third-party metadata viewer first.
